about

<<<UPDATE: MAY 24TH...sold out digifile 2CD edition now replaced by 2CD jewelcase edition...again limited to x100 hand-numbered copies>>>

Sometimes we’re forced to “sit on” an album for an indeterminate length of time, for any number of reasons – be they related to distribution, production, bonus tracks, you name it…

Thus has it been with this, the third and by far the darkest album from RUINIZER - the main thrust of which actually cleared audio mastering back in May last year yet only now finally sees the light of day after innumerable delays relating to both artwork and the “rescue” of bonus material long believed lost in hard drive failure…
But what a beast of an album prevails in the end – and in what a peach of a package.

Mastered like every RUINIZER album so far by Jan L of NOISUF-X at his X-Fusion Music Production facility in Germany, with “The Faceless Aberration” Jay Ruin has returned almost full circle to the industrial black metal roots of his original and highly-regarded project CEDIGEST. The accompanying cover art comes in equally brutal monochrome from Canadian illustrator Tim Lane.

By far the hardest thing RUINIZER has released so far, the physical first edition of “The Faceless Aberration” comes in a beautiful double-disc digifile with integral bound-in lyric booklet and 5-track bonus disc – bumping up the tracks on offer to an unlucky 13.

CD2 “The Voiceless Augmentation” is exclusive to CD and comprises 3 non-album extra tracks sandwiched between 2 alternate orchestral arrangements of tracks from the album itself. The name itself is perhaps a flag of convenience as in fact the third song “Serpent Storm” does include some vocals but hey…overall this is intended as an instrumental accompaniment to “The Faceless Aberration”.

This physical format first edition of “The Faceless Aberration” is strictly limited to 100 copies worldwide in double-disc digifile packaging, and will be unleashed on Friday March 30th. Pre-orders are open NOW and include an immediate free download of 2 tracks to whet your appetite for the full album…
