about

The brutal beat manifesto of former CEDIGEST frontman - featuring guest vocals from PANIC LIFT, E.S.A. and many more...

***2018 DIGITAL RE-ISSUE INCLUDING x8 REMIXES: x3 also featured on the limited edition CD by DIE SEKTOR, ALIEN VAMPIRES and VPROJEKT, plus x5 more from CELLHAVOC, SERAPHIM SYSTEM, CROWNS OV BONE, ALIEN:NATION and a previously unreleased one from PARESIS!!!***

STILL AVAILABLE: Limited Edition CD in 4-panel digipak!

Although arguably a relatively new act, in fact the road to ruin can be traced back to 2010 and CEDIGEST’s fearsome debut album “Walking In The Flesh” – a record that more than gave PSYCLON NINE and DAWN OF ASHES food for thought in the industrial-metal stakes, and which was snapped up under sub-license by DWA from NoiTekk, and released in a now-long-sold-out 2CD Limited Edition with an entire CD2 of additional original material and remixes.

In the intervening years, although a much-anticipated second CEDIGEST album was never completed (the “lost demos” of “The Detritus Cycle” simply circulated online) Jay Ruin busied himself with a range of remixes for DWA under the CEDIGEST name – a selection of which were recently compiled and reissued as part of the “DWAXxX” centenary 10CD-set.
It was during the same period that RUINIZER was born – the bass-heavy bastard brother of CEDIGEST – as Jay found himself moving in a more electronic yet equally evil direction…

It was on the Resistanz 2012 compilation that we first introduced the RUINIZER name to the world – incorporating as an extra track RUINIZER’s remix of E.S.A.’s “Themes Of Carnal Empowerment”, which had finished as close runner-up in a remix contest to be featured on the album.
Now, after over a year’s work, we are ecstatic to unveil the first full-length RUINIZER album – the appropriately titled “Mechanical Exhumation Of The Antichrist”.

Featuring eye-popping artwork from Nathan Winter of Industriarts which fully embrace the metal-roots of RUINIZER, “Mechanical Exhumation Of The Antichrist” is a real monster of an album – cannibalized from elements of all sorts of genres, and galvanised by guest appearances from industrial artists as diverse as E.S.A., PANIC LIFT, CRYOGENIC ECHELON and CEASE2XIST (whom Ruin plays with live, alongside fellow DWA breakout artist of 2013 Séamus Bradd aka THE.INVALID).

Mastered with full force by Jan L of NOISUF-X/X-FUSION MUSIC PRODUCTION, “Mechanical Exhumation Of The Antichrist” is a ten-track testament to the visceral power of electronic aggression when placed in the hands of a producer of Ruin’s passion and ability. Fans lamenting the loss of CEDIGEST will find plenty to remind them of that sound in the lush haunting atmospheres, extended intros/outros and overall heavy feel of RUINIZER - while this album is sure to suck in many more fans of its more electronic and elaborate approach.

But of course, we couldn’t simply stop there.
For the Limited Edition CD-version, in 4-panel digipak, we enlisted the able assistance of ALIEN VAMPIRES to deliver a club-smasher of a remix, fellow electronic artisans sans pareil DIE SEKTOR to deploy their dub-depth instincts, and the act that Ruin himself helped sign to DWA in 2011 – VPROJEKT – to provide the final gloss of a bonus section befitting an album of this outstanding quality.
